There are various types of treatment available for Spondylolisthesis. If the induced pain is very severe, surgery is a good option; however, there are conservative methods for treatment that can be sufficed for mild to moderate severity. A classification of those methods include physical therapy, especially stabilizing exercises of the spine that can strengthen the muscle tone, or make the condition worse.

First and foremost, exercises may be prescribed to enable functional and quality improvements in life instead of altering the spine's configuration. Studies indicate that structural changes of this type do not lead to well recognised disability conditions, such as Lumbago, which is often believed to correlate with asymptomatic spondylolisthesis. Hence, in this case, a set goal of the exercises will be to increase the functional capabilities of a person stepwise.
