Are scientists looking to solve aging, or something different, by incorporating the new knowledge they gain about the epigenetic clock?

The purpose of using an epigenetic clock is not necessarily to eradicate death, since it is improbable that humanity will be able to ‘curing’ aging or death. What is desirable is to heighten the understanding of and perhaps even manipulate the epigenetic clock so that the emergence of degenerative diseases, and consequently the onset of aging is delayed. The goal is to increase the healthy lifetime, not to become immortal.
