Which dietary supplements due to their proven benefits are worth taking?

So, the way I see it, are there any supplements that actually ‘work’? Draw your own conclusions if we take into consideration the research evidence – after pensions this is the biggest market in the world and that’s not only because of bananas.

Yes, there are a number of nutraceuticals that are worthwhile in terms of health benefits. For example, creatine is known for its effects in regard to sports, but also has benefits for the brain, sleep, and bones. Collagen peptides seem to be able to reverse skin aging. Omega-3s have been linked with lower risk of heart disease as well as mortality, while magnesium is critical in the fight against heart disease and diabetes. All other supplements have a rather weak supporting evidence, hence the emphasis should be put on the well-researched ones.
