Because it enables the body to heal and relax from stressors, like exercise, fasting, or sauna, recovery is very important for longevity. Sleeping 7-8 hours at night, napping, using moderate amounts of caffeine, avoiding excessive exercise and active relaxation are essential for playing the long game in longevity. Without recovery, blood work and body composition will suffer and not be optimal.
