Isometric contractions that are used in a variety of exercises usually cause less soreness, and less fatigue because they are used mainly for the purpose of creating tense in the muscle but breaching the subsequent range of motion and movement that brings strain onto the muscles tissue. This implies that effective growth and strengthening of the muscles can be done while minimizing stress to the system as a whole. Thus, the recovery can be faster therefore allowing for training to be done more often but without the downside of muscle soreness and fatigue.
